Default roller rockers

just installed a set of comp pro magnum roller rockers - took them to 0 lash plus 1/2 turn. when i fired up the car, it ran fine but the roller rockers seem louder than the fulcrum rollers (rollers on tip)i had on before. should that be, are the roller rockers louder - tap, tap, tap, than fulcrum rollers.

Mine are pretty loud too. You can adjust with the engine running to eliminate noise, but you'll need open top valve covers to doit.

Serious question,,,, why cant the rockers be adjusted with the valve covers off? Why the need for open top valve covers?

I have always adjusted chevy engines with the valve covers off, messy, but effective...

You could, but it's beyond messy. I prefer not to have my $13/qt oil spilling on my headers.

you could try them all at another setting like 1/4 turn or 3/8 turn or even 3/4 turn and see what happens, but a little noise is ok
