Any tips on where to attach to pull the engine? I have the balance bar for the hoist and plan on pulling the whole shebang tranny and all. I have a 1966 i6

Any bolt holes you can get to.

On this forum I have learned 2 ways...carb plate or exhaust manifold bolts.
I have aleays used the intake manifold bolts....but that was on a chevy.
I was assuming I would use the intake bolts when I pull mine...but idk.

i read that pulling an engine from the bolts will damage the holes.

If you're using a load leveler, they use four connecting points to the engine. I use the holes in the cylinder heads that the accessories bolt to. Make sure you thread them in enough and you won't have any problems.

yup, thats what i always used - one chain, back of head on one side, front of head on the other side, hook in the middle and YANK!!!!!!

being a inline 6 you want 2 chain on each side of the back good luck and be carefull.69stangcoupe it can if done wrong i have pulled many engines as long as you thread the bolts all the way in its fine.
