rocker stud size.
I don't have my 347 with me at this moment. As you know I am having it gone through. I have been ordering stuff for the engine and now need to know what size the rocker studs are. I tried getting in touch with the guy who is doing my engine but I have a feeling he might be at the track today. We did figure out the stroker is built on a 87 truck motor. So does anyone know if the studs are 5/16 or 7/16?
I pulled my motor last tuesday and the buyer picked it up that evening. I will be detailing the engine compartment in the coming weeks. I am leaning toward the bed liner finish as seen in the GT350SR's. I have a lot of experience painting the bed liner and controling the texture required. Plus it will hide a lot of imperfections.
Yesterday I purchased a 8 quart oil pan similar to the Canton. I purchased a main cap girdle and sheet metal fabbed aluminum valve covers as well as a billet aluminum dip stick. I would like to buy new pulleys. I was looking at underdrive serpentine pulleys but have no experience with them. I have the alternator, powersteering, and water pump to deal with as far as the pulleys go. Any recommendations? I have also decided to go with the air gap manifold instead of the RPM that I have now.

What heads? Most are 3/8 or 7/16. They are easy to change though, and arent to expensive. I'd go 7/16 if it was me. Unless you have pedestal mount heads, then it's a 5/16 bolt.
They are 87 truck heads. Here are some pics.

thats a 5/16 crap *** thing... heres what you need (if your using roller rockers)

3/8's studs sticking out the top are fine for street cars that arent extremely wild - and with a 5/16 base hole anything much bigger is overkill
