Go with the fastback. If there was money to be made in Roadrunners, then Dynacorn would be rolling out their new Roadrunner chassis. They're run by bean-counters like every other business. The fact is, 67/68 Mustang Fastbacks Rule! (I wish I could afford one. LOL!)

Well i went to go both cars today. The roadrunner made me drool. So sexy!! The Fastback has rust on the floor panels and on the roof. The Roadrunner has less rust. The roadrunner originally hada 383. Im thinking of buying a hemi 426 if i can fit it in there. And the fastback is a gt 390. They both know what they are doing because i saw whats in their garages.(Fastbacks, cuda, chargers). Both of the cars are manual transmission. The fastback comes with a tko600. The Roadrunner, nothing.

Stangs67, go for the Roadrunner. Oh by the way, will you PM me the phone# of the fastback owner? I always wanted a Gt 390 Fastback. Thanks!

426 crate hemi ($12k on Jegs) will fit. It needs what dodge calls a k member for a hemi, plus all the same fixins a Mustang would need (suspension, tranny etc). But it will fit with room to spare in a 69 RR. I love Mopars and Mustangs, doesn't mean we can't talk it here. It is a bit weird to see how many people here are voting for the mopar. They are pure power, but not necessarily "sexy". Most women I talk to would prefer the Mustang to the Mopars, they are big beasts all power.

There is a considerable amount more money to be made in a MOPAR at current market value than a Mustang. The reason Dynacorn is making those Mustangs is because rarity isn't what makes Mustangs desireable - it's the fact that it's a Mustang. Roadrunners are desireable because they're powerful and rare. So if you mean that there is no money for Dynacorn to be made in a RR you're right. If you mean there's no money for a typical owner then you're probably not right.

"Beast" potential is definately there...check this one. Definately in league with Satan and only people who own oil companies can afford to run one

Rust in the rails is a serious issue according to my (rabid) Mopar mate. All the mechanical stuff is still available but trim, chrome etc is hard to get.

Pistol grip 4 spd is seriously cool

I think you could spend less to get the stang up to speed even with a $6k head start.

If I had the time and money I'd buy the roadrunner

go for the dodge. i mean seriously WTF are people thinking asking 8000+ for a stang that needs a total resoration? unless that thing was a boss 429 or shelby or something they need to take a hike.

and yeah, i hate dodge but wtf dude thats a steal on the RR. stick with the original 383 and build it back to stock - damn thing could end up on barret jackhole and bring you oodles of cash.

its funny to read all of these responces....it turns out we are not die-hard ford men but we are die-hard chevy haters....if it said 350 c*m*ro we would all be bashing you for even bringing up such an absurd question.
