can you bore a 428 4.13 to 4.23 to make same as a 427

I dont understand how you can make a 428 a 427? Sounds like its time for a lesson in displacement.. ? (and I mean for me too)

if you can bore it to 4.23 and use a 390 crank at 3.78 you will have a 427

427's are actually 424 ci just so you know...they just used 427 because that was nascars max ci at the time

Bore the cylinders a whole tenth of an inch??? My first inclination would be to say no way Jose,,, on most blocks, a tenth of an inch might as well be a mile........

Of course not really having the real knowledge to say so, I have to just say that I don't know......

The 1966 390 block with a casting code of C6ME-A will bore to 428 without any difficulty. I can say that I've done it... twice. Hope that helps, Dean
