66 Title
I live in Camden Co GA. Spoketo a rep from the registration office yesterday. She advised that if I have a title then they will re-issue me a title. No title but bill of sale and they will only provide a registration and no title. I know this vehicle has spent it's whole entire life in GA and someone just didn't passs it along to the next subsequent owner. I am going to try and track down the previous owners and see if I can locate who had it titled last.
yes the state here in ga doesnt issue new titles if you didnt get one with the car, like stated above broadway is a great way to secure one. if the chain of ownership for the title has ever been broken in ga then the state will not issue a title even if you find the last titled owner i even got a title for a 69 cougar that i have but the state will not let me use it since the ownership chain was broken and someone registered it with a bill of sale
im in brunswick just a couple minutes north of camden county

I am trying to start the process for just getting it registered here, but am going to continue to search for the title. The car was sold new in Atlanta and the last two owners were in Atlanta. There are GA University stickers, parking decalswithin the last5 years, so I feel pretty confident that it stayed here in Atlanta.
I went onto the Broadway website and although I have heard of them the methods they use are kind of suspect. You transfer/sell the car on paper and then they register and sell back to you. They provide you with a AL registration transfered back to you, a LETTER of title, and a notorized bill of sale. They say with this you can then go to your state and obtain a title.
My question is if they are not giving me a title, then I am not any better off than I was. I will check with Camden Co when I go to obtain plates and ask them if they would recognize a LETTER of title from another state???
Anyway... I work in Brunswick. Any parts available up there?
