I think I might need to spend some time in the gym doing leg presses so I can stop the car.

I know what you mean, I have a 67 hardtop with manual (Granada) disc brakes and no PS with a big block. Its impossible to parralel park! It will stop but you may need to use both feet. I'm looking into a booster that will fit with the 429.

Soaring,
I agree. I have had the Granada fronts for a few years and so far no complaints. I just notice a huge dif when I go from the Mustang to my daily driver. My dad has a 66 with non-power drums and he drives it pretty regularly. His only complaint is on the hills of Kentucky they do get hot and fade after a work out but he has learned to down shift and engine brake as much as possible.

One of the first things I taught my son to do when he learned to drive was to downshift before coming to a stop. That's just one of the many reasons why I prefer a manual transmission. Yes, the mountain driving will cause shoe brakes to heat up faster than pads. That is one of the negatives besides getting wet and not working.
But, as far as actually stopping at a shorter distance, I beg to differ because both systems will lock the brakes, and when that happens you will lose control even if you have pads.

I think clones are great, as long as you don't try to screw someone out of the money later on. Think about it, it requires more work and dedication to make a clone than to buy an original!
Really though, what I'm waiting for now is to graduate college, get some real money, and buy one of those Dynacorn repo bodies. It may not be the original but you know what, it's like them making the old mustang for the new generation. You older guys shouldn't get to have all the fun! Another reason I want one of those is because -> Less work, everything will be brand new into it, I can build it exactly how I want, and keep it forever! I would call it a mustang, but I would classify it as a custom car. The real mustangs were made back in the day.
