Honestly, at $770 I wouldjust spend a few hundred more and get SSBC Front Power disc conversion. No turning radius issues, spindle issues, or tie rod changes etc etc.....SSBC's Power front conversion kit is great, Iadded it last year and it was NIGHT AND DAY over the manual drums I had in the front before. Comes with everything...

If you were paying, say, $400 for the Granada...I'd say go ahead, but at $770, thatwarrants looking at theSSBC kit, newer parts, IMHO, newer technology. I think I only paid about a grand or $1100 last year...hopefully the prices haven't gone up like everything else.

muggsy -

He's talking about POWER disc brakes - price at SSBC for that is $1400 compared to $700 he's getting from discbrakeswap.com. And, the calipers from SSBC are 4-piston, which (I've heard) have a tendency to stick, while the ones with the $700 kit are 1 (big) piston.

Now, it does require you to change out all the spindle and stuff, unlike SSBC, but that's easy, if you've got tools.

I didn't buy an entire kit from Dennis, but the parts I did purchase were excellent. I think you'll be very pleased!

Threepoints. There is no turning radius issue. That problem is a result incorrect assembly of the steering stops. The stop is designed to mount atop the strut rod, not below. Secondly, there is no spindle issue. The spindle (knuckle)includedwith the 65-66 kit not only has the beefier pin, but it has been made to have65-66OEMsteering/suspension geometry. Thirdly,in the past I'd done my share of refurbing Granada spindles and, along with thethe health issues of sand blasting and tracking grease onto the living room carpet, you are no longer likely to find an excellent set of salvage Granada brakes with usable rotors, calipers, shields.

I went with SSBC non power disks in front. You won't have a problem installing the brakes, but check your brake lines, mine where in pretty bad shape with striped ends. I had to cut them off and install new brake lines for the front and back. I was hoping my install would just be a weekend thing and it would have been if I didn't have to change the brake lines. My DD was out of commission until I got my brake lines in. Installing the brake lines was a real pain in the !@#.

All in all you will be happy with disk brakes.
