Not to be a wise guy but why do you need part numbers. Part suppliers need to know the engine ID but trying to order by a part number is a good way to get into problems.

If you don't mind an old method of communications called a book, you can order a copy of 'Mustang & Ford Small Block V8, 1962-1969' by Bob Mannel from http://www.fordsmallblock.com/ for $35.00 plus $5.00 shipping. It does not have traditional page numbering but it's about an inch and a quarter thick.

The block number is on the side next to the starter and the head number is under the valve cover, what else is important?

Hers a link on how to decode the engine casting and a photo of a 65 head
