Default Morning Engine Starting

In the morning, I rev up the engine a few times and then place it in reverse, the engine is a little ruff, not shaking the whole car. Then, I place it in drive, as I push lightly on the accel peddle, it acts alittle stumbly, but as soon as I gun it down the road, it sound fine and smooth. And after it is warmed up its smooth.

Any ideas? Thanks for the help!

Yeah, your choke is not engaging. In the morning, take off the air cleaner, get in the driver's seat and pump the accelerator pedal to the floor twice, then get out and see if the butterfly on the carb is closed. Chances are it is not, so you have to loosen the three screws on the round black plastic thing on the side of the carb and turn that black plastic thing until the butterfly is closed. Tighten down the screws, put the air cleaner back on and toodle on down the road. Now, this is all assuming you have a stock carb on there. If you have an aftermarket carb on there tell us what it is and if it is electric or manual choke.
