Default Tach Wiring????

Dropped in a newly built 302 and now i've decided i need a tach. I bought one from summit and i can't wait to get it working....

Anyone know an easy wire to tap into for 1. 12v 2. lights 3. ground...

I really have no experience with wiring and want to avoid the guess and test method!!!!

Follow the instructions.A switched 12V source is available on the stud on the back of the ignition switch. Put a number 10 stud ring lug on the wire, slip it over the stud and tighten a 10-32 nut over it.

thanks... will do... welding, cutting, maching, etc doesn't scare me in the slightest... but wiring sure makes me nervous!

I find it interesting you came over to my side and not use the infamous brown wire.

Your side! This is under the dash. Brown under the hood is for the electric choke crowd - remember. Now, where would you hook up the 12V electric pop-corn popper?
