Yea I been driving it alot lately and between first and second its a hard shift, if I punch the gas the tires loose traction between first and second and you can hear a small screech from the tires. Between 2 and 3rd you can feel it also but it isnt as hard. I guess that should be expected if someone installed a shift kit? And this isnt bad for the transmission?

My 68 does the exact same thing. I also have a C4 Automatic with only 18k miles on it. I have been told it is the shift kit that makes me feel that shift from 1st to 2nd. I am used to it now and it doesnt concern me. Good question though.
Enjoy the 67, I bet it is a lot of fun!!!

ha it is alot of fun between the time working on it, its not the working on it part thatsa pain its the having to pay for parts on a high school seniors payroll, but I guess thats the cost of having the coolest car at school

also, something that I don't think anyone has mentioned yet is that newer cars frequently have more gears than the older cars. That means there will be less of a ratio difference between each gear on a newer car and you won't feel the shift as much on the newer one.
