Since you have gotten so much done to your car already, I'd suggest keeping it, sell off what you don't need, and use the funds to finance the new parts. Yes, I know that's been said already, but MY reason is different from those listed.

You have a history with this car, and you know what's been done to it and what it needs. If you look for another car, you may end up with a bunch of problems from the previous owner. Decide if your car will meet your needs. If so, then create a plan to reach your goals and do it.

And thank you for your service to our country [sm=patriot.gif]

To add my $.02 I'd keep the car, sell the parts you don't need and start your new project. It's awesome that you have had the car for so many years and still love it, but want a little more.
It should be pretty easy selling off your unneeded parts. Heck, I just bought a 66 coupe that needs a ton of work and I'm just a few miles south of you in Richardson, TX. I'm sure I could take a few parts off your hand.

I have an 89 Mustang that I race with the National Auto Sport Association (nasaproracing.com) and I always love to see people getting the most out of their Mustangs.
Let me know when you get it down to Plano and I'd love to come check it out.
