power question
i havea '68mustang with a 302, andi was wondering what the best way to get more power is? i saw a guy who had a '68 with a 302 that had 385 hp. how do i do that tomine? any imput is uselful.
It's fairly easy these days. If you are someone who isn't very knowlegable(not a personal knock just sayin') about engines and what it takes to build hp, look into complete packages that are offered from Edelbrock or I think Holley also makes one also.
Heads, intake and cam that are able to work together at the same rpm range is what you need. The problem with small cubes, high hp dreams and use on the street is usually rpm's required to make the hp. Small cubes can make big power but it usually means high rpm and that leads to increased wear and tear on your valvetrain and the need for rear gears in area of at least 3.73.
