help with holley fuel pump

Are you talking about a pressure gauge or pressure regulator? I read your post to be that you were asking about a regulator. If you're talking about a gauge, the common location is on the fuel inlet tube to the carburetor. To be honest, I don't think I've ever seen a fuel pressure gauge in the passenger compartment of a street car. Maybe if you're running nitrous or something where it is really important to know your are getting enough pressure, but ...

ya it seems like its more trouble to but it in so im going to have to find something else to spend my money on ill probably add it to my savings for paint

Since those are typically mechanical gauges, not to mention dangerous to bring any kind of fuel into the drivers comaparment.

+1 on jlg2002. I would not bring in a mechanical fuel pressure gauge into the car. Heck, even a mechanical oil pressure gauge has caused me some big messes, but a fuel gauge is just dangerous.
