Are you talking about a pressure gauge or pressure regulator? I read your post to be that you were asking about a regulator. If you're talking about a gauge, the common location is on the fuel inlet tube to the carburetor. To be honest, I don't think I've ever seen a fuel pressure gauge in the passenger compartment of a street car. Maybe if you're running nitrous or something where it is really important to know your are getting enough pressure, but ...

+1 on jlg2002. I would not bring in a mechanical fuel pressure gauge into the car. Heck, even a mechanical oil pressure gauge has caused me some big messes, but a fuel gauge is just dangerous.
