Default 302 Intake Question

While changing the valve covers on what I thought was the original 302 - 4V motor, I discovered that the heads are stamped 2V. So, if I am correct, this is a 2 barrel motor. My 68 originally had a 302-4V from the factory. The engine did have a 2 barrel intake and carb when I purchased it to restore. My question is, I have a 4 barrel intake and carb I am wanting to install on this motor. Will there be any problems with the heads? I know this may be a silly question for some of you, but I have no idea. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Nope, the heads are identical. Both 2V and 4V 289/302 engines got the same heads. Ignore the stamping

In 1968, Ford installed 289's & 302's in the Mustangs. In that year the same head was used on both engines, the 289'shad 2V cast in them, the 302's had 4V.
