427 sohc value?

If I got look at this car, can you give me tips on distinguishing the different eras of SOHC engines?

It would certainly be a neat, but expensive build. They didn't make too many cammer 427's so finding parts could be difficult and/or expensive. But you could rest confident knowing that you'll most liklely never go against anyone else that has the same engine

there is only one era of sohc, they were only produced for around 2 years around 64-66 but used well into the 70's...If you dont know what your looking at and are not very experienced with fe engines, a sohc could give you some real headaches as it is a very finecky motor that has to be maintained in almost perfect tune... and if you break a part your up sh*t creek with alot of those parts...

What kind of rare Ford engine is this? Is it a Boss 429?
