carbeurator
I'm running the 570 Street Avenger on mine, got it tuned nicely, just need to fine tune the accelerator pump, just another squirter change or 2 I hope. My next carb will be a Pro Systems blow-through. The 570 is easy to tune though, I like it
does the street avenger have this problem: when i shut my car off the carb still dumps fuel into the manifold. my floats are messes up. since it dumps too much fuel, it doesnt want to start back up when the engine is warm. does the street avenger have this problem?

There is no "best" overall carb. If you want something to slap on a stock or mild small block, an Autolite 4100 is hard to beat. If you need more tuneability but don't want to be finicking with it all the time, Edelbrocks arevery easy to tune. For the most tuneability (at the cost of some reliability) the Holley design is probably better. I've heard that Barry Grant carbs(which use a Holley deisng)are amazing, but more expensive.

I think any answer to this question will be based on personal opinion more than anything else. I have an Edelbrock and have had absolutely no problems with it, but others have had the exact opposite results with the same carb. There are several existing threads here that discuss both the pros and cons of just about every carb manufactured. Do a quick search and settle in for a lot of reading.
Good luck, let us know what you decide on.

I think Holley has under rated the 570, they must have tested it with a low depression. But yeah, the "best" carburetor really depends on the setup, what's good for one is rarely good for all.
