vin number help
I bought a 67GT coupe. The Mustang was hit on a couple years ago before i bought it. Which sucks, because the left front fender and the driver door were both replaced. aka my vin numbers are gone. the only vin number i have is on the new fender, which came off another mustang. so my vin is for a different car. Where the heck can i find my original vin number on my car?

Would like to see some pics of your new wheels! BTW, congrats on the new GT. You will love it! I cant tell you where to find the VIN, hopefully someone else will chime in here soon for ya. I am assuming that it is not on the title or any DMV paperwork... Any chance of contacting any of the previous owners? Hmmmm. There HAS to be a way. Maybe on the dasn.... I cant remember, they might not have started putting it on the dash until 68..... anyways, good luck with this!
I believe you would have to pull the right fender off. The VIN# is stamped on the inner fender lip to which the right fender mounts. It is also on the left side fender lip. Early Mustangs had three places where the vin was stamp. On the inner fender lips, then the fenders were bolted on and once again on the left fender itself. Hope this helps. By the way...nice Stang.
