Default Checking the car Vin Numbers

Does anyone know a site that I can go and check the Vin # to check the car's history especially if it's been reported stolen? I bought a car and I'm planning to go with Broadway titles in order for me to ensure it in MA. Need some help. thanks. I have a 67' mustang

You can call your local police and ask them, I did it on a guitar I was buying. They searched the entire US database of stolen property.

That May work down in the great state of Texas,
but unfortunately up here in Massachusetts, if you were to ask the local police if a car was stolen or not I'm sure the reply would be something along the lines of ;

"Drive it and find out."

I bet most of the local police departments here in CA would do it if you actually took the time to go down to the station and fill out the paperwork. They may not do it overnight, it could take a month...but it is somewhat of a "taxpayer benefit". Even here in the Bay Area where most departments have pretty poor public relations, I have a feeling that you could get it done with a little bit of paperwork.

If the local police were that much of bitches, I would have to move. Sounds more like **** Germany to me. I thought Massachusetts was a progressive state!

Massachusetts is so rediculous that you have to pay the state every year taxes on your car. I think they calculate 5% of the value. I paid last year for my 02' BMW 540 Almost $500 dollars. I think it's plain stupid for them to do something like that. And when you register the car you have to pay the taxes according to the book value. I hope i'm correct or they taking me as a sucka. lol
