neeed your help on leak...
ok ok so i been posting that i had a leak...it was leakin down the starter an on the tranny aswell.. i though it was either the oil pan and the rear main seall.. so the guy built me this brand new stroker came and replaced the rear main seal the oil pan gasket..the valve cover gaskets...an still i had a leak..... i was like damnn wat the hell..so i drove it..and asap i took of the starter to follow the trail...an i see a dry trail from the passenger side heads... like right below the headers where the heads connect to the actuall block ...like a adry oold trail from before and now a new fresh trail going down... also it would get really hot quickly.....did i blow a head gaskets? i havent even driven this new 347 stroker.. or are they backwards???? its the old blocks 347 and in a 65 mustang...need ur help...
Although your heads should be re torqued depending on the type of head gasket used, the oil my have leaked from the valve cover gasked and followed the small groove inbetween the block and head. This may give it the appearance of a leak at the head. The only thing that would leak from there would be water/antifreeze.

Check the back and front of the intake manifold, oil leaking here could "wick" around the head gasket and drop over the starter....
In my experience, a leaky intake manifold is always getting other components in trouble....
i guess what im a do is clean up everything..al the trails down the front and back of the intake manifold and valve cover gaskets and everything and drive ita couple of blocks..... even though it drips significantly down the starter and side of the pan... is that ok i drive it?.... ok so when i check to find the leakn..i should juss run my hand from the back of the manifold and the front... then im a run my hands down the valve covers too..... but i replaced the valve cover gaskets alreayd with some silicone too...before...but any more suggestions>? id really appreciate it..

I have seen someone post here that they have used powder to find a leak, makes sense...
Check that manifold real close, it would be easy for oil to run down the edge of the head gasket or in the little "crack" between the head and block, only to drop down over the starter where it would accumulate and gravity would get the best of it.
It might be kind of like when you change your oil, when you pull the plug and oil runs down your arm and off of your elbow, your elbow ain't leaking even though it looks like it is. this can be even worse when a small crack or seam provides an opportunity for capillary action, if sothe drip is nowhere near the leak.
ok im a drive it tonight and come back and let it sin overnight and cool off and check itint he morning..i wipped everything down... so im a look for every inch ont he manifold and check it...... how much should i find if it drips down and i see a constant drip down on the floor..should it be significantly? or small? because i havent been able to see anything... alos...what if i take it to a shop and have them check..how much would be ripping me off...
Oil leaks can be hard to isolate. Years ago I purchased a small bottle 1-2 oz. maybe from NAPA. You clean up your engine, add the additive, drive the car. Then you use a black light, the oil leak/trail will glow. Not sure if this product is still available. My bet isthe back of the intake, as previously stated. Good Luck!
