Wow, ive learned a great deal from this thread. My tranny is starting to feel like she could use a rebuild, but now im think of using the money for a swap. Thanks guys.

AODEs were only offered for 2 years 94-95. The 4R70W is more common and far superior.
Adapting an OEM type PCM to operated the tranny is a waste of time and money. I would not even consider it even if I was poor. The Baumann TCS is only $425 and allows you to program the thing the way YOU want it.

Can you elaborate on that? Why is it a waste of time and money?

Can you elaborate on that? Why is it a waste of time and money?

The programing in the Ford PCM sucks. You can invest in the equipment and software to adjust it and use several hours of your time getting it to work.
My spare time is worth about $75.00 per hour these days. What is your time worth? Do the math.
The Baumann TCS is more cost effective hands down. Don't trust me on this issue. Find someone else that has the TCS and get their opinion.
