it's a dark grey metalic pearl. we'll have to see how it looks. my dad did go down to the shop and they have the door jambs and under the hood done and he said it looks sweet. also, i couldn't wait to paint until after the engine mods because when i bought the car the PO was in the middle of sanding it to the bare metal so he could paint it at his booth. so it was like a quarter sanded to metal and the body guys said that it would start to rust soon (i live in oregon remember and oregon = rain) and i needed to paint it as soon as posible.

Painting before the engine work is done is fine....but painting before suspension mods is a bit risky. Either way you'll be fine. Just be careful !

+1 on 289's! Mine does the same. It may be small compaired to a FE block or 351 but its still enough to put any rice burner in its place.

ok 68, any FE swap will put you in the hole regardless. those are "truck " engines not car engines, and the fabrication and time you will put into it would be worth it, but it will eat your wallet alive all day and all night. so listen to me very closely and i will save you thousands of dollars. get a boss block stroke it to a 363 with some 205cc heads and a 58 combustion chamber with hyper pistons that allot for high compression and drop that bastard in its place and you will get the same results as a 427 with half the weight and it will destroy maro's vette's and keep up with those damn z06's and vipers. and you will even have gas money left over for the 93 (91 if your on the west coast).

yes, they will fit in a 65, the 289 is a destroked version of the 302, so i dont forsee their being to many problems with the swap, and if you run into them let us know and we'll help you out.
