I have wanted a mustang since I was a kid. I didn't even know what a fastback was until I was in my 20s. I have acoupe and I would say that I like the fast backs more just because they do look more aggresive. However I have seen some really nice coupes that would put a fast back to shame. I think it is all personal preference. Kind of like ford versus chevy. Import versus export.

I would rather have a coupe myself i am like connor90 i think the coupe just looks tougher. My order would be coupe, vert, then fastback

When I began searching for my own Mustang, I was looking for a "flatback" and not a fastback. Didn't even know they were called coupes, just knew I wanted the flat back with a luggage rack.

I think the fastbacks look too race car like for me. However, I saw a 1971 Mach 1 fastback and if I could find one in good condition, I'd grab it.

I really like the fastbacks, but I like my coupe even more. Around here I actually see quite a few more fastbacks than coupes, kind of weird.

Nothing wrong with 65-68 coupes, butI'm not at all a fan of 69-73 coupes. I just flat out don't like the body styling.
Why not the 69? I personally love the body design...mainly how the top is "slicker" and not so much a square like the before models. Only thing ive found that causes me a little frustration is the fact its a littler harder to find parts for a 69.

Just curious

Personal taste is all, in my opinion. I have always eyed the coupes a lot more. But when I see a FB like LCC's... I know I could get used to driving one.

But since the wifey likes coupes... and actually likes 64 1/2 best... The "compromise" is a 68. Which in all honesty is not much of a compromise since a 68 coupe is what I like best.

You have to put the right spin on these things if you want them to work. Women need that. They LOVE it.

Okay I am looking to get smacked.

Well i like the look of the fastback i have really grown to like the 71-73 body style most, probly because thats what i drive, and the fastbacks look a little too truck-like in these years, but thats just me... they are still worth alot more than my little coupe.
