Why the bad name? Im just curious?

I know to each there own, buta nice coupe just looks meanto me. Fastbacks are nice, but I dunno, they just dont look right lol. Lots of people feel the other way around.

But even down to price, a fastback is worth a lot more than a coupe...

Nothing wrong with 65-68 coupes, butI'm not at all a fan of 69-73 coupes. I just flat out don't like the body styling.

No one has ever said anything bad about my ride cuz its a coupe....

In fact, there's a stock one owner, off white,67 FB that goes to my church and my car gets a ton more attention...

 

Part for part, if you put a coupe beside a fastback with the same style wheels and accessories, more people seem to like the look of the fastback. I like coupes and think that they can be made to look awesome, but off the show room floor, sorry, my vote goes to FB's.

Then again I may be biased

 

I dunno, I could have had my pick of fastbacks, but the coupe just looks sexier to me. I understand the appeal of the fastback and the convertible. But growing up, the fastbacks always reminded me of Mom's station wagon, and the convertibles were always leaking or with ripped tops.

So, it came down to personal preference. I mean, look at that back taper in the coupe roofline, the curves on the back quarters well defined by straight decklid. Mmmmmmmm, baby!

 

people just like fb's more cause theyre worth A LOT more. so they figure "well if i were to have a mustang it would be a FB". they say this cause they know that the fb's are more valuble. imo, i like coupes better, and im not just saying this cause i have a coupe but whatever

 

Back in the day, people demanded more coupes than fastbacks.

Now the appeal leans more towards fastbacks because they are rarer and pricier.

I myself (a coupe owner) see classic coupes all the time, I don't often see a fastback, and when I do see one, I tend to stare at it more, simply because they are not often seen by my eyes.

But set aside the price and rarity, I just prefer the look of the coupe, I dig the straight lines.

If I were to be given a fastback, I would sell it, get a coupe, and then use the rest of the money to buy other kinds of toys.

I don't hate fastbacks, I like them a lot, but I just prefer the look of the coupe just a tad more.

It's a matter of personal taste.

 

in my opinion fastbacks look sexier but coupes look a little more agressive. i would have got a fastback but they cost to much so i went with a coupe, the more i look at my are the more i like it. i used to like fastbacks more but now im kind of starting to like the coupes better.
