Coupes?
haha...i was driving around today and i saw a red '66 fastback and i just started pointing and acting all excited and some lady in a lexus rx330 was just staring at me. it was pretty funny because it was kind of far away and i dont think she had any idea what i was pointing at lol.
if your lucky enough to own one, regardless of what it is, and luckier to have it restored or built up, what the heck's the difference? there's way too much woo-hoo, look at me and how much I spent in today's world.I think they're all great cars. I've owned mopar, chevy, and ford, and they all have their own characteristics and when it comes to classics, they're all GREAT.
Thanks for all the answers guys (and ladies!), very interesting viewpoints. I do have to agree with the comment earlier about the later years look better fastbacks though, but coupes are my fave.
I like the coupes as well as the fastbacks and convertibles, though I favor the 65/66 model years. For whatever reason, amongst non-Mustang aficionados, my '65 fastback and my brother's '66 vert have garnered far more oohs and aahs than my '65 GT coupe ever did.
[edit] I do prefer the fastback to the coupe due to the styling and versatility. It is pretty slick to be able to fold the seat, open the trap door and carry longer itemssuch asmy hockey sticks.

I'm very happy with my 67 coupe, but if I could afford a 67-68 fastback with money left over to play with it I would of jumped at the chance. It just looks sleeker and more refined, but the coupe does have a meaner look and stance to it.
I love coupes. They are the litest Mustangs & that's true all the way to the 1993 notchbacks. That why when one is for sale, it doesn't last long around CT.
But I do like 64.5 - 68 coupes & fastbacks. Then from 1969 - 1973 I prefer the fastbacks.
But like someone said before I like all Mustangs.

I also like all of the late 60's early 70's models. My goal is to have one car of each type from a different year. So far I have a 1965 fastback being restored and a 1966 coupe in very good shape. Now all I need to find is a decent vert and i will have each model type of these great cars!!! YYYEEEAAAASSSSAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
