well i had a chance to fire up the new motor today, was a bit scurd i must admit, and it took some time for me to turn that key,...but here ya go,..

http://good-times.webshots.com/video...02416475iISddi

it ran for about a hour and only had two small drips of oil, which i think are from a leaky valve cover gasket, atleast i am hoping, or oil pan gasket,..i tried to use a one piece gasket from new model engine and there were some spots where it didnt seal to well,...

i did not have a chance to crawl under the car with a light and start looking, everything was to hot and had to run to family stuff,..

That didn't sound so good did it. Down hill in a good way, coast. No up hill battles like in the past.

for the one piece oil pan gaskets, your supposed to put a blob of silicone in each corner. you know right in the corner where the block meets the rear main and in the front on the front cover.

little update,...

got one of the headlight buckets mounted,..it lined up just about perfectly on the fender,..which is always a good think...and installed a set of 7 inch black projectors i scored at a VW swap meet,..goddam they look good!

also scored a set of LED bulbs, in the correct color green, i only put one in the speedometer and look at the difference,..i will deff be swapping over the rest of them,...it is soooo much brighter

tomorrow my goal is to, lower from end, install front stocks and caps, tighten control arms, install new oil pan gasket, and new valved cover gaskets, adjust front brakes...
