Default Side Mirror Question

I was looking at my rightside mirror so i could order a matching mirrorfor the left side. I looked through the catalouge i was useing and my mirror was not under the 66 mustang section. Underother years there were mirrors similar, so i was wondering if this isthe wrong mirror for the 66 or if it is just not in the catalouge i was useing. Thanks in advance.

thats the wrong mirror for the year but if it works and you like it you dont need to change it. ours are supposed to be round but ive found that mine is so small it really doesnt do any good.

That mirror could be original or could be a replacement. There's really no way to tell.
I had a mirror very similar to yours on my '65 coupe.
I always thought it wasn't stock because it didn't match up to any of the "official" 1965 Mustang mirrors.
Long story short turns out my mirror was original.
Way back in the old days it was pretty common for Ford make substitutions for certain things on the assembly line when
they ran short.

The mirror on my '66 is just a flat circle basically.

I need to get a new one sometime soon because mine doesn't stay put when you adjust it, it just falls down.

Let me know what mirror you decide to go with if you will please.

I think i am going to get the closest match to that mirror, its supposed to be for a 67-68 but i will try it and see if it is the same, if not i will just order another. I figure that, as Conner90 said, the square mirror will have more sight advantage than the circle mirrors. Thanks for your help
