Default C-4 Linkage ?s

I have a new C-4 and the one I pulled from my I6 car. The linkages are different between the two. I took the nut off the end and removed part of the linkage and the neutral safety switch, but can't move the other part of the linkage.

Do I use some kind of puller to get the inner arm off, or do I open the case and try to remove the entire selector shaft??

Any ideas welcome.
