Default Shelby Drop

I am in the middle of redoing my front suspension and am thinking about doing a Shelby drop (1" lowering of the upper control arm). Everything I have read about talks about the shelby drop on 70 and earlier mustangs. Has anyone done this on a 71-73 Mustang? Should it be done my 73 Mustang? Other than the Shelby drop, the suspension is gonna be basically stock, just with new components.

In 71 the drop was incorporated in to the suspension design so unless you want to add the extra 3/4" and run a negative wedge kit there is no reason to do it. IMHO unless you are racing there is no need to do the full 1.75" drop. The 1" drop is perfect for street cars and as I said 71-73 the location was already changed by Ford.

Thanks Daze. That's the kind of information I was looking for.
