Thermostat
1969 Mustang Coupe, inline 6. I had to order a new thermostat housing but I also ordered a thermostat for it at the same time since it also needed to be replaced. I purchased a 195 degree one, but started thinking, is that too high, or will it hurt the car in any form? It wasn't like I blindly bought the 195 degree one, because it was listed on CJ Pony Parts with the housing.
Any problems, or should I get a lower one, like a 180 or 185?

RE: Thermostat
i think the stock one is about 180? im not sure, but you should be fine with what you have. these older engines run better when they are warmer as opposed to cold. what size radiator do you have? still have the stock water pump? these will play a big role too if your car gets too hot.

RE: Thermostat
nope, the radiator was bad and leaked when I went to fill her up, so I have a new radiator, and I figured while I was at it, I'd do the water pump as well.
So, there's a new:
thermostat housing
thermostat
waterpump
radiator
new hoses
