Yup Acetone is the only thing that will cut the resin,most other things tend to "gum" it up

Ugh, brings back horrible memories of my fiberglass package tray in the 98.. Good job though

ya rubber boot is not going on definatly gonna get a leather one! here are some pics of the under side





as you can see the foam helps the cup holders stay in place, and it also makes the entire console more stable, i put in extra and removed what was needed to sit flush

as for the original gauge holder, i can actually mount that with a few washers to the dash to make it more stable,

i am debating how to mount the back side near the cup h9olders but i am actually thinking about just running a bolt thru the cup holder in the rear and into a welded nut on the trans tunel!

i agree with andrewmp6, get a leather shift boot it will look nicer. great work!
