1" drop in front of I-6 '66
What I plan on doing is using a mideye leaf spring (V-8 obviously) in the rear of the Mustang. I do know that if I use V-8 springs in the front, I will practically be pointing up at the sky. My plan is to (hopefully) use V-8 springs in the front, but doing a 1" drop. (I am not fond of cutting V-8 springs)
Are there any realistic options for me to drop the front end while keeping the stock (v-8) spring length?
The difference in ride height between a stock 8 and 6 cylinder spring is about an inch, correct?
My goal is to have stiffer sprigns in the front of the car. If anyone knows of performance inline 6 springs, I can safe a lot of hassle >_<

Im pretty sure instead of cutting the springs you can use a torch to heat them and then compress them to the desired height.

[sm=badidea.gif][sm=badidea.gif]no bad idea it can make the springs brittle and alter the spring rate disproportionately creating adverse handling conditions. cutting springs also isnt suggested but sometimes its the only way.
