Yeah, it's honestly like 150-170 at the wheels, provided it still has good compression. 300rwhp can be attained out of a 289/302 in a drivable reliable package. If you have the money to spend, it's not uncommon to see350+ crank hp 289/302's that are driven regularly. Roller cams will make more power with better drivability. They can breathe more without having to run a "radical" cam. Roller blocks are common enough these days, you can still find them in junk yards.
Just make sure the brakes/suspension/drivetrain is up to handling the power. The faster you can speed up, the faster you NEED to slow down. And you don't wanna break transmissions and u jointsetc.

You guys are true gentlemans and Im glad to be a part of group of such informative people. This is my first classic car and more importantly dream car. I unfortunately have dealt with german and japanese vehicles alike and not that they are bad but there is nothing like a roaring V8. I truly appreciate your guys help.... Im going to list everything that the car has and basically you guys if you can give me any advice in what direction to having a daily driven mustang pushing anywhere from 300-350
