Here's a site that will help you determine if it is a real GT: http://www.cjponyparts.com/NewTechRealGT.aspx

The vin starts with a 6F07a, it is an A code. I knew it was the lower of the 2 4bbl cars. My bad. It had been a long time since I decoded it. The original color is candy apple red, w a dk red (non pony) interior, 4 spd, 3.00 gears. I thought a lot about keeping it original, but I just loathe the color red. I do have anotherquestion, The guy that I bought it from gutted it out to build a drag car out of it, (He even butchered the shifter hole and welded in a new hump closer to the seat..nice) and he probably saved the floors by pulling the carpets years ago. He also pulled the headliner.., were there bows to hold it up, or what? I have done a few other cars, that had bows, and there is nothing left in my car. The only things missing that I know of, is the carpet and the headliner, and maybe some trim parts here and there.

Yeah there were bows holding the headliner up. That's sad that the PO butchered a orginal GT car, but oh well.

+1 on what ninteen66mustang said, just a little elbow grease and she'll look alot better. But that exhaust is hideous.[:'(]

Yeah, that exhaust looks horrible, and I did clean it from top to bottom before I put it in my storage unit. I sucked a bunch of mice up in the vacuum at the car wash..hahah. thwump!
