but still that won't stop the engine from starting ?????!!!!!. if the alternator is seized, then the belt will just rip or slip over.
Yah. maybe the cranking at start will be slower, but not stop it. must have been something electrical, but it still doesn't make sense to me how you can crank, get spark and it's not starting because of an alternator ...
