Default steering box

On a 67 mustang v8 car. Is the steering box the same for manual and power steering cars with the only difference of the pitman arm comming off of it?

Depends on whether or not the manual car is a GT...but basically, yes. The only difference between the standard box and the p/s box is the ratio (21:1 vs 16:1, iirc), and the GT uses the same 16:1 box that p/s cars got.

All right I just about got my suspension completely rebuilt. All that I lack is ordering a new pitman arm for the manual steering. The car was set up for power steering but obviously someone rigged it up for manual steering. I thing between this and everything being extremely wore out was the reason why I could not keep my car on the road.
