Default Glove Box Emblem

Family,

Last night I was trying to remove my beat Glove box emblem and replace with new and I couldn't get the orig. to come off. The Back of g.b. there was 2circles thatlooked like screws, but weren't. Then I realized they were plastic "posts" behind the emblem, but had "swags" (dents from a drill) to make sure the emblems would'nt fall off. I also tried using a little flathead srewdriver (not razor it'll f.up the plastic box) to gentle pry off, stuck like cement. I read "K.A.R" atricle about them removing g.b. emblems and calling the back of the modified posts "swag". It explains to remove the emblems you must redrill the swags until the emblem falls off.

My question is how do i "re-swag" the back of the post, when i put the emblems back thru the 2 small holes?

Ps: i don't want to remove post and glue to box.

thanx-Jt "ponyboy"

i have no idea what it looks like, but from your description I get an idea. if noone here has a better idea and the posts are made of plastic and i understood what you're talking about then you can make new swags with heat (lighter). as in
stick the posts through the 2 holes and heat whatever is sticking out. use something that will make the same shape as before to bend the hot plastic/. let cool. lovely jobly ?!

http://www.boltproducts.com/tinnerma...retainers.htmlAce has lil retainers you can use. they are round washer looking things that have slots cut in them kinda looks like a lil turbine wheel.
Take the new one with you and tell them you need retainers theyll fix you up.

the white works fine just a lil on the thick side.
