Default Need some Input on Rims

I have a 65 coupe and would like some input on either AR torque thrusts or Cragar SS. I was planning on putting on BF Goodrich Radial T/As-225 60 14
What Rims would look better and or fit better?

note....i dont plan to change the tire only the rim.

oh yea i was thinking 14x8 or 14x7

It depends on it the torque thrusts. Are they Chrome or the Mag gray style?

If your car has a lighter color paint, the torque thrusts would look better.

If your car is a darker color, the Chrome Cragar SS's would look better.

Thats just my 2 cents[sm=smiley20.gif]

I like my ever so popular Mag 500's. Yeah, yeah I know everybody has them, but they are still a good looking wheel for these dinosaurs.

The Mag 500's retail for $142.50 each. What will the torque thrusts run you?

I would look at the 15" wheels. Before tossing money down on a set of 14" TTD's, I would highly recommend you go look at a car with them on. The 14" wheels do not have the same look as the 15" ones. They are very shallow and look ... well, they just look WRONG.

I'm a fan of both the TTD's and Cragars, as you can tell from my sig pic (the wheels on the '69 are 15x8 Cragar S/S's).

I have a Royal Blue '66 Coupe, I'm looking for rims myself. Think those rims would look good on mine too?

It really boils down to personal preference. But in my opinion, your color works great with either. My fastback is Tahoe Turquoise - not a far cry from your Silver Blue - and I'm aiming for the gray-spoked Torq Thrusts. I like my factory Styled Steels; but it's just too pretty with all that chrome!

I second what Johnpro said as well: if you're planning to buy 14" wheels to simply not have to buy new tires as well - wait until you can afford 15" of both. Huge difference in appearance.
