haha cant help you there with the wires... but u might want to just pour some gas down the carb and see what happens then, sometimes it just needs a kick start.. and check to make sure you have gas coming out of your carb when its cranking.

im sorry to say its not dangerous, before u try to start to crank it pour a little gas down, and if it starts or trys to start then it might be your carb, have someone crank it while you are looking down the carb is nothing come out ...it might just be close all the way and might just need adjustments,

Update: I put a splash of gas into the top of the carb to see if I could get it to turn over. I noticed as I was cranking, the wire attached to the starter solenoid that goes to the starter was red and bright. Well I went over to look at it and it broke off!

Attached is a picture. Heat tells me resistance...resistance tells me corrosion. Am I right or is there something else I need to be looking at as a cause of this?

Thanks for all the tips so far. I'm learning a ton!

ya looks like you need a new cable, i dont know much about wiring so it could have done that because is was corroded but i have no idea id just get a new cable and try again.
