Don't think it would be a problem at all. The stock rods aren't that bad, it's the stock rod bolts that suck. With ARP rod bolts and forged pistons, you should be just fine

Yeah, a 100 shot on that should be fine. The stock rods are decent until you start pushing the limits of what the block can take. The rods may fail first, or the block may. The stock rods don't suck, but the rod bolts sure do. I don't know what Ford was thinking.

Well, on an engine that was only designed to spin up to 5k or so, they're fine. The K codes used different rods/rod bolts to take the 7k+ rpm they were designed for.
