thanks for the comments and advice!!

i found the plexi cover for the cowl vents, plan on having that also, i do have to change the front glass and plan to pull the fenders so that will be the time to cut the spot welds andinspect/ repairin there but i think i will use the cowl cover all the time to prevent any more damage, i have the wing windows for air, still thinking on that task

did a little more to it yesterday afternoon, seam sealed all edges inside and undernieth, primer sealer, undercoated, got the passenger side door closing better, vaccuumed up the mess andhad a cold beer

now i'm ready for the driver side, i have the toe panel and the floorboard for this side and plan on doing the toe panel first then fitting the floor pan, may start on the toe panel this afternoon

If it was me (and too late for the passenger side), while that frame rail was wide open, I would have dumped a bunch of rust protectent in it.

You still can.. Take to any shop who do undercoating. They can spray inside all these tight areas with long tube adapters. They go up through the dran holes and are able to spray and cover inside the frame rails, rocker panels, etc. Worth every penny too even though its not too expensive.
