With regard to the "paying" sponsors...for the most part they don't care or really even know what is discussed here. They pay to have their ads on the site. All they know is that this site fits in their "target" demographic (people who buy car stuff). They are going to pay to be seen by that demographic. I don't see how a thread/sticky is going to change that. Put their ads on the new thread/sticky just like they are now and they will, in all honestly, never even know the difference.

If I start a thread called "Classic Cars Repair Guys" and ask all the guys who do that kind of work to post their contact info..they would. Do you think the "paying" sponsors would demand the removal of that thread? Do you think they buy ad space on here thinking nobody refers people to anyone but them? Yahoo has made billions not because the folks who advertise with them expect "exclusive" rights but because it gets their name seen by millions. The paying sponsors will still get seen by millions, will still get business, and some fellow members may get some business in the process.

Just my 2 cents....

I can see wherethat would open a big can of worms for the owner(s) of this forum. I have seen many post where people ask for shops or services in areas around the countryand most often have their qusetion answered.
