Where does the torque box go??

Default Where does the torque box go??

I'm a little confused where the torque box is located. Does anybody have a picture??

Which one? The 67 had 2 rear torque boxes and 1 front on the drivers side. That said.. When buying your sheetmetal buy another one for the front passengers side also. Not sure why they didn't have a passenger side box in 67 as they did in 68. Adding it helps stiffen the entire car and well worth adding. The front torque box is located right behind the toeboard and on the drivers side you can see the flange coming up through the toeboard and welding to the body.

Here is a shot of the front passenger torque box I added last week to our 67.

Since we are on the subject of torque boxes, the 65-66 hardtops only had the two rear torque boxes, the convertibles had four. Here is a great article on adding convertible front torque boxes to the 65-66 hardtops. I am in the process of doing my floors and have decided to had them to mine.
