Have a '65 convert. and the light on my center console won't turn off -- Arggh. Prob started when the car was started after sitting a few weeks. Had to disconnect battery when parked the car. Any ideas?

 

Check the door switches.

 

Here's my idea. Get inside the car and "shut the doors". Then turn off the switch that illuminates the interior lights. You keep trying to "turn off" the interior lights with the doors open. The switch is overridden by the door switches at that point. Close the doors then turn off the interior lights.
