I started my 68 project 2 years ago, silver with black stripe. Not a fan of Al Davis so i decided to repaint and while i was at it redo the interior and wireing. Awaiting pant at the moment, then i can reassemble. Hopfully by the end of the summer that phase will be done, then on to the motor.

Most of you already seen my crap.......

In too deep to stop, I thought I was done and then had the "bright" idea of rebuilding the motor......now it's supercharged, EFI with a roll cage and still have a bunch to do....

well i started my 67 at 17 yrs old. im now 23 and im about 65% done. ifor me, ts mainly a money game.isave it,i spend it,i start over.. i paid 300 bucksforthe car, and it needed front full inner and outerframe rail and lower floor supporton pass side, all fender aprons, pass side door and 1/4, front and rear valances, body work, no interior except for stock seats (which were actuallyin decent shape) broken down but running 200 inline6 banger with a 3 speed manual trans. i have so fardone all the body, sheet metal/fabricationwork myself, and imjust about ready for paint, just have to block the primer down and go.id say i have roughly 8 grand into the carat this moment. i guess thats the best part of knowing how to do the body/paint and frame work yourself tho. i probably have another 5-6 grand to go before shesees the road and track.

What I've done so far on this car is on the web page in my signature, represents about $17K in parts. I figure there's about another $30K to go, including paint interior and body work.
Here's the Ford "340HP" crate engine that will be going in this summer with carburetor setup.

Stoker kit, Fuel injection, supercharger, Roll bar, and finish suspension work will go in next summer. Then I'll spend a few years of tracking/ cruisingthe car before a complete tear down for body, paint, interior and drivetrain rebuild.

Started out as a plane jane stripper 6 cylinder car.

Still has 6 cylinder at this point, although all the rest has beenupdated.

im thinking about trying to find a rolling chassis to build over the next two years or so until i graduate. what do you guys think? my ideal car to find would be a 67/68 fastback but im not sure how much luck i will have finding one around here.

wow...some amazing work to get these cars mobile. Hats off to you guys who can do that stuff!

I was lucky in that the body was done. I have spent the last 10 years upgrading the drivetrain, suspension, steering and every other mechanical part on the car. i'm still going. Money and kids have been the main holdup. I'm nearly finished what i want to do and the next major upgrade will be an engine rebuild.

I'm in pretty deep, but beginning to see light.
This is after I got most of the front end, cowl and floorpans done.
