How long did you crank on it before checking for fuel at the filter? Might have been coincidence and it just needed a sec to prime up???

Generally a crack in the out line on the pump only results in fuel leaks not a failure to prime. A crack in the IN line WILL result in failure to prime with no or very low volume.

Sounds like it was just a bad pump.

Does the fuel filter fill all the way now or still halfway?

Fills up all the way now. Mayb have been the pump. who knows. all that i care about is that its running.
