Nope...
He had it at $6999.00... Not $17k. And he needed an all CASH transaction, he needed a fast sale. The ad went up at 10am today and by the time I called him just after noon, the car was sold. Someone got a STEAL. And it wasnt me.
For $17k I would not have been all over it. For $7k, I was ready to drop that cash immediately.

If the title is clear and the car is in as good of shape as he claimed then $7k would be a steal.
I have seen cars that needed a complete restoration sell for $8 - $10k.
A guy in my area is trying to sell a 64 1/2 convertible and he is asking $20k firm. Of course his car is in perfect condition.
Bought mine for $8k but it needs some work...not a lot but basically needs some wiring and tlc in general.
My reservation is that if it sounds too good to be true then be very careful. You may find in hindsight that you are glad that one got away.
