Sticking a single plane on a basically stock Cleveland isn't going to help it. It's doubtful it'd go any faster, and your mileage would be worse. The biggest problem with most stock engines, especially SBF's is the heads, they're mostly of poor design. Intakes and carbs and exhaust and all that other stuff if selected right can help, but a chain is still only as strong as it's weakest link.

than what would you suggest. i would rather put my money towards needs right now like brakes and suspension. heads are around900 a pop right?
