I really like how he supporting the oil companies by pouring oil on the ground under his car
Make sure you are finacially sound because college isn't cheep.... and these cars are loads of fun, but they can be just as expensive as school. Don't start on the slippery slope of debt, it will eat you alive without reguard to your "plans".

These cars can be an investment if you play your cards right... be wise and do what is best for this situation (even if thats walking away).

In my opinion only buy it if it is a car you have always wanted to restore, $1,000 is a good price.
Going to college is gonna be very expensive and having a project car is too.
It looks like it will take a lot of work to get it road worthy. ask yourself if driving a half restored 1969 Mustang is worth it?
Little things like wind noise from the rotten seals around the window, rain hitting you in the face as you drive down the street because of the dried up windshield seal, the door not opening or the handles falling off,Catch my drift?
These cars are becoming very rare in any condition.if you can afford it buy it now and just stick extra money into it when you have it, not rent money ..lol

I paid $900.00 for this one last year.
It was not much.
No motor,tranny or seats.
But it had a NEW B&M Shifter and a 9 inch trac-lok with 4.11 gears mini spool (I took out)
Then dragged it back to Wisconsin from Oregon and sold it for $3,000 (no rust)

After re-evaluating the picture I have come to notice a few things:
1. It is not a desert car,
2. Check the the suspension and brakes very well, they may have rust issues judging from center caps.
3. It is also in an open car port... very interesting?
4. you may wanna take a DA out there and just sand a few layers off, in troubled spots
5. definitely test drive, if possible, if it does notstart do not freak out, that is what a mechanic would be for

Well I am saying you should definitely check the car more thoroughly then I had originally thought.
But you never know you could get it and it may run forever, there are cars that are just champs for some reason!

How is the process going, take some more pics post them here and let us drool... I mean evaluate the condition further.
